25 Minute Marathon Workout | INDOOR WALK or RUN Cardio Endurance at Home

You guys!  It’s finally here – the marathon I’ve been training for these last four+ months is this weekend!  I’m so excited about it that I wanted to share some of that energy with you, and what better way to do that than with a nice, sweaty marathon workout?!?

I’ve been wanting to do an indoor walking/running workout for quite some time (Seriously.  The list of things I want to accomplish on my YouTube channel is longer than my arm!), so I am super happy to finally get this out to you.  I suspect that you will enjoy this workout as much as I did.  Which is a pretty bold claim, since I LOVED this workout!  It’s a perfect little gem of activity:  not too long, nothing crazy or complicated in the exercises, and it’s a really, really good sweat!

You can follow along with me in real time with the video below, or you can re-create it on your own with a minimum of fuss.  The exercises are all bodyweight-only, so you don’t need any equipment.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Set your timer for 26-second intervals.  Between beeps, walk, jog or run in place at a comfortable pace.  You should be able to sustain that pace for the entire workout, so don’t go too fast.  At each beep, you will perform just ONE rep of the exercises listed below.  Repeat each exercise twice.  Total time for the workout, including a short cool down, is approximately 26.2 minutes.  🙂

  • Squat
  • Standing Crunch
  • Toy Soldier
  • Alley Oop
  • Push Up
  • Goofy Jack
  • Reverse Lunge with Kick
  • Side Shuffle
  • Star Balance
  • Tripod Push Up
  • Drinky Bird
  • Squatty Step Back
  • Curtsy Lunge
  • X Marks the Spot
  • Mountain Walker
  • Windmill
  • Frog Reach
  • Russian Twist
  • Inchworm
  • Ice Skater
  • Flying Fast Up
  • Double Knee
  • Pop Squat
  • Walk the Plank
  • Burpee

Finisher:  After the final walking/running interval, come down into a Plank and hold for two full intervals (52 seconds).
