Cutting it Back | Mini Challenge Week 36, September 10 – 14

You know what I love most about training hard?  Cutting back.  😅

Seriously, it’s like a nice reward to yourself for putting in the work the rest of the time!  And it’s not like you’re not still working – we’re cutting back, not slacking off – it’s just that you’re taking it down a notch or two while your body catches its breath.

Which is exactly why we do this cutback thing – so your body and mind can recover!

Here’s the thing about reaching your goals:  you have to work hard, and you have to recover from all that work.  So, if you’re not reaching your goals?  Yes, you can take a look at how hard you’re working, but you should also give yourself a little reality check to make sure you’re recovering properly, too.  When you keep pushing your body and not letting it recover, it stops making fitness gains (and, in fact, can start getting sick or injured) just as surely as if you aren’t working at all.

So, Killer B.

#PahlaBMiniChallenge 2018 September 10 - 14 Week THIRTY-SIX Cutback

 

On MONDAY, we’re starting the week with an all-new CUTBACK CARDIO + STRENGTH workout that is destined to be an instant classic.  With quick intervals, moderate weights and a 15-minute runtime, what’s not to love?

TUESDAY’S all-new Let’s RUN podcast is all about GETTING BETTER at… anything!  The fact is, there’s a particular set of steps you need to take, no matter what you’re trying to improve:  weight loss, running, fitness, and more.  And while we’re chatting about that, we’re getting a terrific sweat with intervals of 90 seconds of running and 30 seconds of walking (which OF COURSE you can do the other way around!).

WEDNESDAY’S workout is one of the most essential workouts I’ve ever made:  BALANCE FOR BEGINNERS, but don’t let that title fool you!  There’s work to be done here, even for experienced exercisers.  We’re starting on the ground and working our way to standing with challenging single sided core strengthening exercises.  This highly repeatable video is simple enough that it could be added to your daily routine if you were so inclined.

On THURSDAY, we’re getting fit without taking our feet off the ground!  This LOW IMPACT CARDIO workout is non-stop sweat and all-around fun!

And FRIDAY, we’ll finish off the week with a very simple (but never easy) BODYWEIGHT STRENGTH workout that tones from head to toe without weights.
