I’m sure you’ve heard the expression, “Work smarter, not harder” before, right? I know that’s a useful idea in a lot of business situations, but have you ever thought about how it might apply to your workout?
The prevailing wisdom seems to be that a person “has to” work out for 60 minutes a day, but the real truth of the matter is that when you’re working efficiently and with intensity, you can get a LOT done in MUCH less time.
Like this week’s workouts, for example. 🙂
With the exception of Tuesday’s leisurely 30 minute walk (which is fantastic for you because mixing up the intensity and focus of each day’s work keeps your body adapting to new things – aka, boosting your metabolism!), we are packing a lot of effort into a little time – ten minute workouts that will get you sweaty and strong and on with your day. And, of course, if you have a little bit more gas in the tank, I’ve got suggested stackers for you, too, that still won’t take you more than 20 minutes total.

On MONDAY, we’re starting the week with a generous dose of sweat with a terrific CARDIO WEIGHTS HIIT that packs a real punch. Grab a set of light dumbbells for this one and the SUGGESTED STACKER that appears on-screen at the end of the video. The second workout is low impact – yay!
TUESDAY’S all-new Let’s RUN podcast explores the reasons why achieving your goals can be so hard, and some ideas for how you can set SMARTER GOALS for the best results. Oh, yeah! And we’re going for a really nice 30 minute (approximately two miles) WALK, too! 🙂
WEDNESDAY’S workout has it all – full body CARDIO + STRENGTH with your aerobic stepper (you’ve never used it quite like this before) and a set of light or medium weight dumbbells. You can keep the sweat rolling with the SUGGESTED STACKER, too!
On THURSDAY, we’re feeling the burn with a super fun, very fast-paced CARDIO HIIT that is sure to challenge your mind as well as your body! The SUGGESTED STACKER is more cardio, but with an emphasis on tightening and toning the belly.
And FRIDAY, we’re finishing the week with a tough, total body STANDING STRENGTH workout that brings the speed down a notch, but ramps up the toning. And rather than letting you off easy, the SUGGESTED STACKER is a fun boot camp routine that’ll get you ready for a weekend of rest.
