This month’s April LOVE Viewer’s Choice have really run the gamut, from hour-long sweatfests to gentle Pilates, from weights on the floor to all standing MetCons, and this one, which I think is like the sweet spot in the middle.
It’s not too long, it’s not too short. It’s definitely sweaty, but not overly challenging. There was just the right amount of thinking and coordination, without crossing over into “unfun” territory. The intervals are quick and the workout moves along at a brisk pace with almost no rest, but somehow it never seems like too much. And did I mention that there’s no jumping? Or getting down on the ground?
I think this is the perfect workout. (If I do say so myself, LOL. But I can’t take credit – this was the suggestion of my friend Wishful Wish!)

No jumping and no equipment, but plenty of fun and sweat! This great 20 minute LOW IMPACT workout is all cardio and all standing. Burn about 200 calories without jumping or planking.

Workout Set Up:
Timer is set for intervals of 20 seconds and 10 seconds; 10 second intervals are all WALKING (active rest)
MAIN WORKOUT (complete each exercise for two work intervals; complete the circuit twice):
Overhead to High Knees
Booty Kicker Jacks
Flying Fast Ups
Rainbow Reverse Lunges
Stinky Drinky Drunk Birds + Drinky Bird Hold (I think this might be my all time favorite name for an exercise!)
