Step ONE: Watch the quick video, of course. This one’s about 4 minutes long and it might just blow your mind (especially if you’re new to this work). If you can’t see the video, you can watch it here.
Step TWO: From yesterday’s list, choose five THOUGHTS that you’d like to explore. Take them one at a time, and ask yourself, “When I think ______________ (the THOUGHT), how do I FEEL?” You can do this in your head, or write it down. Either one is fine. Really be patient with this activity, it’s not quick! If you find yourself thinking, “I don’t know how I feel!” you can narrow it down to “good” or “bad” and leave it there. Identifying your FEELINGS takes practice!
Step THREE: FEEL the FEELING. This might be harder than it sounds, and that’s why I’m writing you this reminder. 🙂
