Happy Mini Challenge Sunday, Killer Bs!
We talk about taking “baby steps” toward our goals all the time, but have you ever really thought about what that means?
I think most of us use that term to describe taking small actions in the direction of what we want. And that’s totally true, but it’s only part of the story.
Babies don’t just stand up one day and start striding purposefully across the floor taking small steps. No.
They hold on to the couch for weeks, letting go only tentatively, once in a while.
They scoot sideways.
They touch their toes down uncertainly, testing the solidity of the floor beneath them.
They wobble wildly.
They flail their arms, struggling for control.
They take a few awkward, rushing steps forward.
They fall on their butts and look surprised.
And then? They laugh it off, roll over, get back on their feet, and do it all again.
Baby steps are not easy, and they don’t always look like forward progress. But they do eventually get you where you want to go.
My friends, no matter where you are with your baby steps – still hanging on to safety or hurtling clumsily forward – the Mini Challenge is always here for you and cheering you on as you move toward your goals.
