Decisions | Mini Challenge 37

Did you know that on any given day, you make somewhere between 20,000 to 35,000 decisions?

That’s a pretty astounding number.

No wonder we fall into bed at night, both mentally and physically exhausted. Our brains have been constantly filtering, deliberating and choosing our actions all day long!

Additionally, it’s been proven that our brain is actually only equipped with the capacity to make a certain number of “good” decisions before it gets tired and our cognitive function (aka, willpower) starts to suffer.

This is why it’s harder to resist snacking late at night, and why we find it easier to skip our workouts in the evening. Our brains are tired of making good choices!

Having healthy habits and routines in place is the best way to avoid this decision fatigue. When you’ve already chosen your workouts (or the Mini Challenge has chosen them for you!), you’re far more likely to get them done.

Here’s to making fewer decisions and enjoying this week’s Mini Challenge!
