We’re CUTTING BACK again this week, my dear Killer Bs, and thank goodness for it!

Cutback week is funny.  On the one hand, your body and your mind are screaming for a break from all the tough workouts.  But then, when you cut back, you spend the whole week wondering if you’ve done enough to meet your goals.

My friend, you are doing enough.

I promise.

When you really and truly cut back the duration and intensity of your workouts for a short time, your body will be 100% prepared to go even harder and stronger when it’s time.

Of course it feels “hard” to cut back.  And of course it takes self-discipline to do the right thing.

But it’s good for you.

So think of cutting back as the gift you’re giving to your body this holiday season, so you can reach all of your goals in 2019.

And on that note:  I’m giving myself the gift of cutting back this month!  New workout videos will resume in January, after I take some time to rest, relax, rejuvenate and dream big, lofty dreams for all the wonderful things I can bring you next year.  (Hint:  re-vamped workout plans and an all-new, exclusive weight loss program with semi-personal coaching!)

In the meantime, continue to enjoy the weekly Mini Challenges (which will be ongoing!  I keep getting questions from Killer Bs about whether or not I’ll be doing them next year and the answer is YES!), including this lovely CUTBACK WEEK.

#PahlaBMiniChallenge 2018 December 3 - 7 Week FORTY-EIGHT

On MONDAY, we’re starting the week with a fun and friendly LOW IMPACT HIIT that takes just 20 minutes.  I really enjoyed the protocol on this one, with easier and harder intervals – it’s just the exact right amount of challenge to get you sweaty, but not so much that you’re wiped out for the day.

TUESDAY’S Let’s RUN podcast is a terrific 25 MINUTE WALKING WORKOUT where we’re chatting about why meeting your goals isn’t hard.  Interestingly, this is a conversation I had just yesterday with a private client who has been working on her weight loss for several months now.  She’s not having trouble with the work (because it hasn’t changed!), but she’s struggling because she’s getting bored.  I suspect lots of you can relate!

WEDNESDAY’S workout is a lovely FULL BODY CARDIO + STRENGTH dumbbell workout that’s perfect for cutback week!  Not too long, not too hard, but just right to give your body a break while still giving it a workout.

On THURSDAY, we’re taking it to the SEAT with a 20 MINUTE SEATED WORKOUT that covers all your cardio and strength needs with no equipment and no standing up!

And FRIDAY’S workout is another quick and sweaty LOW IMPACT HIIT that adds the “fun” challenge of long intervals of standing abs workout.  I put fun in quotes because this balance work was tough for me!  But that’s what makes it a great routine – we don’t get better at things we don’t practice.
