Hey, Killer B, let’s get into something serious today: how you talk to YOURSELF. Because, my friend, your body hears everything your mind says, so it’s time to stop the negative self-talk. But HOW?
The FAST FACTS: Level TWO | ALL walking | 5500 steps | BURNS 350 – 375 calories
I’m glad you asked, because this is something I’ve been working on with myself for a while, and here’s what I know in three (not-so-easy) steps:
1.) LISTEN for it. You’ll be surprised how often you speak negatively to yourself.
1a and 1b.) PRACTICE listening without judgement, then get CURIOUS about what you’re hearing.
2.) CHOOSE whether or not you want to continue having that thought. Yes, seriously. CHOOSE.
3.) REPLACE the thoughts with something incrementally better and still believable.
Of course, while we’re having this conversation, we’re going for a really lovely 40 minute mind-clearing WALK. I don’t have any intervals set, but you can always create some for yourself if you’d like.
