It’s Day 17 of the WALK Off the Weight for Women over 50 series, and today we’re inviting a plain ole chairšŸŖ‘ to our workout, and taking on the dynamic duo of STRETCHING and BALANCE!

My friends, I don’t know about you, but for me STRETCHING has definitely been an acquired tastešŸ“, yet I can’t deny how amazingšŸ’Ÿ I feel after a workout like this. And of course we all know how important these kinds of moves are to our body as we age. 

I’ve grown to appreciate workouts that allow us to not only EXPAND OUR MUSCLES🦵, but to EXPAND OUR MINDšŸ’­ as well by changing things up.

In today’s workout, we’re improving FLEXIBILITY, increasing our RANGE OF MOTION, and maintaining our STRENGTH as we move gently from one exercise to another, with moderate walkingšŸ‘Ÿ in between. It’s active aging at its finest!  

And although we’re using a chair, we’re getting bonus balanceāš– and brain🧠 work, too. THIS is a great way to round out your exercise regimen as you move toward your WEIGHT LOSS goalšŸ†!

Interval timer is set for one minute; one interval of walking followed by two intervals of stretching (one on each side) using a chair for support; there is NO REST
