It’s Day 3 of the WALK Off the Weight for Women over 50 series, and we’re getting FIT and FLEXIBLE with a workout that has plenty of dynamic stretching, a little cardio, and – of course – a bit of balance work thrown in just for fun🥳! 

Here are the FAST FACTS: ALL standing, NO jumping, NO equipment | MODERATE day | INCLUDES warm up and cool down

Today we have full body dynamic stretches, done with a KIND APPROACH so that it doesn’t feel like too much.

These are dynamic stretches that will hit EVERY PART OF YOUR BODY from top to bottom, and they’re done with a KIND APPROACH so that it doesn’t feel like too much👍. 

My friends, MAINTAINING and/or IMPROVING FLEXIBILITY is important as we age for a number of reasons🔖. One of the most important is that this kind of work will give us a greater RANGE OF  MOTION, which can directly affect our everyday lives in tasks such as carrying groceries🥫, yardwork🌿, even housecleaning🏠! 

Other benefits include:

  • Decreasing the risk of injuries such as fractures and muscle strains
  • Improving balance and reducing the risk of falls
  • Possibly decreasing chronic pain

Here’s the deal: gentle workouts such as this one are perfect for developing flexibility🤸. And they’re important for WEIGHT LOSS too!
